A Little Trip on the Sierra Near Lima

A little trip for the national holiday, if you do not have much budget or long time but would like to meet different locations, specifically some of the Peruvian highlands, you have several options: one trip to Huarochirí province east of Lima, continues to metropolis, where, on the day there is always sunshine

How to get there, if you have a car, take the avenue Ramiro Prialé, you enter the CarreteraCentral and do not stop until Matucana or San Jeronimo de Surco on a journey for 2 to 2:30 hours. Simple.
Just be careful driving because the runway is on the side of a cliff.

If you have no car, two options: You go to the terminal and you get your Yherbateros direct passage, I'm not sure how much the ticket is. Probably 20 soles and holiday season or long holiday from 35 to 40, uncommitted.

And if you want adventure as I did in the past national holidays:
You take a chozicano from the Santa Anita bridge. Normally they charge S /. 3.50 to Chozica but holidays: S /. 5.00.
The trip may take 1:30 to 2.30 depending if you run into an unbearable traffic before reaching Ñaña. The good thing in Chozica can download something to eat in the area before catching the trolley Huarochirí, or buy some things you might have forgotten.
Take your car to Huarochirí, which are normally 5 soles, during long weekends cost S /. 10. There are coasters or combis, depart until 22:30. There are also taxis that charge up to 20 soles per person, these rates are both going to Matucana or "San Jeronimo de Surco," if you want to go back from Matucana to "Groove" it costs 2 soles and lower to Chozica, 6 soles , then you can charge Chozicano 3 to 4soles.

Both are highly recommended places for camping and trekking on the way to the falls. Moreover just say that from matucana can eat a very rich cheese and "Groove" is a very tidy town that has two very showy Falls camping near any of them, otherwise I hope you will experience.
Cheer up!
